Zambia is a vast country and its natural
resources are protected by impenetrable
sub-tropical bush and impassable roads.
An exception, and highlight, is the spectacular
Victoria Falls and its lifeblood,
the Zambezi River. Here, access is by
excellent paved roads and an international
airport in Livingstone, which is about
20km upstream from Victoria Falls.
The falls themselves, glimpsed through
the squalling spray during high-water
season, beggar the imagination for their
size and tremendous power. Seen during
low-water season, they form a picturesque
series of single-drop cascades.
With the Victoria Falls to compete with,
the attractions in the area go largely
unsung unless experienced first-hand. The
game parks, lush sub-tropical savannah
and the beautiful Zambezi River combine
to create a seductive spell that’s hard to
break.
To snap out of the trance look no further
than the adventure activities, of which
there are many. In water, on land and in
the sky, there is an array of activities ranging
from sedate and elegant to the exact
opposite.
Giving you the best of southern Africa,
our tours and safaris go from Namibia,
through Etosha and the Caprivi to
Botswana’s Okavango Delta and Chobe
National Park; the grand finale is Victoria
Falls from where you can fly home via
South Africa.
The only thing carved in stone are the
sculptures at the craft market and we are
always happy to tailor any safari to your specific needs.
