JVO offers the worlds most diverse and numerous photo education and holiday events in the world! JVO photo events are run in a very similar manner to SafariWise. SafariWise has organised local tours for Joe, with Darran guiding. In more recent times, 14 Aussie photographers will be guided by Darran and a group of world class photo guides on Joe's Ultimate Antarctica tour. (November 2009.)

For many years photography has played an increasingly important role in stimulating public interest in landscapes, cultures, wildlife and the environment. Inspired by such images, it is hardly surprising that more and more people than ever before are venturing into the landscape with their cameras. All of these people have one main desire: to see, experience, and photograph people, places, nature and wildlife — close-up — for themselves. A Photo Safari can help in attaining those goals.

Photo travel allows us to discover something new and wonderful around every bend in the road. It is about seeing and sharing visions of the world that no two of us see alike. It has been said that the camera always points both ways; in expressing the subject we also express ourselves. Together, we see and share different pictures within a scene and learn new ways to convey these emotions and experiences.

Photography is seldom straightforward. It relies on a sound knowledge of photographic technique as well as a thorough understanding of the subject and its location or routine. Great trips, like great photographs, are carefully pre-planned and are created as a result of countless hours of experience in the field, checking the small details and searching for the best possible situations from which to craft the final product.
