Where is Darran Now?
Madagascar - September 2009
Darran has just return from Africa and Madagascar.
"It was a tough location with very 3rd world conditions and perhaps a bit different from what I had seen on TV. The people are very nice but some live in terrible conditions! This has forced environmental issues onto them - just to survive. Our 3 day canoe trip was outstanding in the south. We then visited the west coast before heading north. More national parks are needed to protect the dwindling native regions! This of course costs money ... The wildlife we did find to shoot was outstanding and very unique. Of a great surprise to me was the top cultural opportunities. I shot a lot of images that I will be using for many years to come. I hope you enjoy the few on this page.

Darran is shooting in Tasmania for the first field test of Adobe LightRoom 2.
Over 20 photographers and product engineers from around the world are shooting and working on this program for over a week in the beautiful location of Tasmania.
For Darran, this is a great honor to be asked on such an adventure. So far, he has shot some new stunning images and met new photo friends.
Darran will be holding a giant exhibition in the Wilderness Gallery, Cradle Mountains starting November 2008. We hope you can visit ...
